CTI coordinates

HUMAN RESOURCES

In 1984, CTI (representing textile industry employers) and the three textile unions (representing employees) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Employment and Immigration Canada (now Human Resources and Skills Development Canada) for a study of the human resources needs of the textile sector. This led to the formation in 1994 of the Textiles Human Resources Council now directed by a bipartite Board of Directors representing employers and employees.
