The efficient use of energy is an important concern for textile manufacturers from both a cost-management point of view and from an environmental perspective.
CTI has had a long history of representing the interests of the Canadian textile industry in the energy management field.
Since 1995, CTI has, at the request of Natural Resources Canada, taken a leadership role in organizing textile industry support for Canada’s National Action Program on Climate Change. In late 1996, CTI received an award from the Minister of Natural Resources Canada for its leadership efforts.
